Additional Information

Pip has received numerous awards, including 7 wins at the Hokonui Fashion Awards, and was invited to showcase her graduating collection at ID Dunedin. She furthered her expertise by studying Textile Forecasting at Central St Martins in London, and upon returning to New Zealand, worked as a women’s clothing designer and production manager for 12 years managing all areas of the design process from concept through to retail.

In addition to her experience in womenswear, Pip launched her own business as a freelance surface designer, creating digital fabric prints for designers and corporate clients. She has also collaborated with New Zealand schools to create fundraising opportunities, turning children’s artwork into digitally printed textile products and held art classes for adult creatives wishing to turn their own drawings to textiles.

With a strong interest in sustainable textiles, Pip remains actively engaged in the industry. For the past three years Pip has served as a guest industry judge for the HETTANZ secondary school Bernina Fashion Awards and furthered her education with Ako Aotearoa Tapatoru Professional Practice.
