Additional Information

Amelia also works with clients in a private practice setting south of Auckland and relishes the opportunity to journey alongside tamariki and rangatahi – employing movement, a gentle playfulness, and a deep privileging of body based ways of knowing.

Amelia has worked alongside vulnerable and marginalised communities for over twenty years, utilising the inherent traits of theatre to promote social justice where possible and currently volunteers at Te Āhuru Mōwai Aotearoa, the Māngere Refugee Resettlement Centre.

In 2024, Amelia has presented at conferences in London and Australia, contributed to collaborative research projects with faculty and is part of a Podcast for JoCAT (Journal of Creative Arts Therapy) highlighting the mahi at the refugee centre.
