Photo Gallery: Mid-Year Exhibition for Fine Arts + Photo Media
Last Thursday, Whitecliffe celebrated with a Mid-Year Exhibition for the Bachelor of Fine Arts Photo Media and Fine Arts Year Three and Honours students. The exhibition was held in the Photo Media and Fine Arts Studios on the Level 5 + 6 Podium and was open to all students, friends and whānau.
At Whitecliffe, our BFA students are able to explore their unique voice, and turn it into a meaningful creative practice. With the support of knowledgeable artists, and with access to their own studio space, they will learn to develop the technical skills and create more powerful expressions of their ideas.
The Fine Arts programme focuses on contemporary arts practice, current theoretical concerns, and formal visual languages.
By understanding and operating within the ever-expanding field of visual art, our students learn to adapt quickly, think critically and take a lead in shaping contemporary culture.
While the Photo Media students are supported in collaborative projects with students from other departments and these projects are realised in the form of exhibitions and publications as well as in assessed outcomes within the curriculum.
