Dr Muhammad Azam
Head of School, Information Technology
Muhammad is an experienced computer engineer with a demonstrated history of successfully completing many impactful research projects and a lead academician.
He is currently the Head of School for the School of Information Technology at Whitecliffe and visiting scholar at Victoria University of Wellington, NZ. He worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering, University of Engineering & Technology Taxila for more than six years, and Head of Academics at Cromwell College of IT and Management, London, UK.
He is also the founding director of Ubiquitous Computing Research Group at University of Engineering and Technology Taxila. He's an engineering professional with a PhD degree focused in Ambient Intelligence and Mobile Sensing based Human Behaviour Analysis from London, UK.
He received a gold medal in his B.Sc. Computer Engineering degree. He has co-authored over 80 papers in prestigious journals and conferences. His skills and research interests include Internet of Things (IoT), Ambient Intelligence, Mobile Sensing, Human Behaviour Analysis, Smart City Applications and Recommender Systems.
Muhammad is an approved Master Trainer and certified Good Governance Strategies developer from Higher Education Commission Pakistan and TUBITEK Turkey. He is a registered engineer with Pakistan Engineering Council and has won many projects and travel grants. He has successfully supervised four PhD and 12 MSc theses so far. From past four years, he has been organising a technical workshop on human behavior analysis through mobile sensing, in conjunction with International Conference on Ubiquitous and Pervasive Computing (UbiComp) by utilizing his international collaborations.
