Lynnemaree received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Whitecliffe College in 2005. Prior to that she taught Expressive Arts in Papua New Guinea and had the privilege to work with the Yeraki people as they recorded their traditional arts practises culminating in a book called People and Plants.
Lynnemaree holds an Economics and Education degree from Otago University, and a Diploma in Teaching from Christchurch College of Education. She was awarded a Commonwealth Scholarship to study Youth Work and Community Development.
Lynnemaree has curated exhibitions on art and sustainability and has been involved in a large number of community engagement programmes. She has exhibited in Wellington and Auckland. The core of her art and design work focuses on deep environmental philosophies which honour and celebrate people and place.
Her desire is to initiate creative action and collective dialogue. She works within multidisciplinary contexts through a collaborative process often engaging her students in public projects.
