Bilal is a computer scientist and a researcher committed to high quality teaching and implementation of state-of-the-art techniques in research activities.
He received his 1st Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, and 2nd Master’s degree in Computer Science (by research) from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand. He has worked as a lecturer and a research assistant at different Universities. He was awarded a scholarship from MBIE New Zealand, to pursue his degree at the University of Canterbury.
Bilal’s Area of expertise in Computer Networks, Software Defined Networking (SDN), IoT Networks, Cloud Computing, SDN Security, and IoT Network Security. He has worked on various projects during his studies and published book chapters. He was a member of a cyber security research group at the University of Canterbury.
He enjoys playing Cricket and Badminton. He also loves to go hiking.
