Bevan holds a BA in Chinese at Massey University and a Diploma of Business Systems at Whitecliffe, formerly known as Computer Power Plus.
He considers himself a jack of all trades master of none, but he’s speciality interested in Linux and everything FOSS (Free and Open Source Software).
He has worked in IT with the Canterbury District Health Board, and his current day job for Aotearoa Peoples Network Kaharoa (APNK) which supplies and supports internet and wireless public chrome devices at most of the Public Libraries in New Zealand.
He is also an Instructor at the Christchurch campus Monday and Tuesday nights. He became a Whitecliffe instructor after graduating as a student while the school was still named Computer Power Plus.
He rides a motorbike to work and back and spends his weekends at home with family, attends church, enjoying music, taming the garden and of course more Linux.
